It keeps the irony, but it's when it should be delivering shocks that you realise Ghostface's blade ain't as sharp as it was. While superior to the likes of low-quality slasher Urban Legend, Scream 3 still lacks the intensity and thrills of Scream and its sequel. It's still a Scream, but, sadly, it's the least bloodcurdling yet.
It's a fairly enjoyable slasher, with a few good laughs thrown in, yet we've justifiably come to expect so much more from Craven, Williamson and co.
